Owl class have been busy this week with their preparations for their Egyptian exhibition. They are planning what to do and what they will need and I’ve heard some super conversations about how to make their exhibition amazing. I spent an enjoyable afternoon with them on Tuesday where we were learning about incarnation and drawing our own interpretations of Aritzi’s ‘Incarnation.’
Fox class showed real maturity and empathy on Wednesday when they created poppies of remembrance for Armistice day. I have also seen some very impressive writing emerging from some amazing future authors.
The whole school took part in a two minute silence at 11 o’clock on the 11th November to remember the service and sacrifice of the past. We also took some time in assembly to consider service and sacrifice which is going on in our community right now. Our value of compassion is extremely important as we recognise the anxiety surrounding the current Coronavirus pandemic. We hope and pray that we can start being more ‘normal’ by the Spring.
In the meantime, I urge our children and school community to look after each other and show compassion to one another and I am proud to say that I have seen this first hand in our school through the week from staff, children and parents.
